Smooth out the caulk bead. You can use a wet finger if the crack is small enough. If not, use a 5-in-1 tool or a putty knife. Clean away excess caulk. Wipe the excess caulk away from the outside of the crack. Sheetrock, known more generically as drywall, doesn't crack easily, so when a hairline crack develops in the ceiling, it's a cause for concern. It can signify movement in the framing, which could be due to structural problems that you need to address. Once you've done that, you'll do the best job repairing the crack if you treat it like a joint between sheets and tape it. You can tape right over certain texture styles, but others need to be scraped off first. After the taping is done, the trickiest part of the job -- matching the existing texture -- begins.
1
Prepare the drywall on both sides of the crack by scraping the surface with a drywall knife to remove loose or chipping paper. If the texture is rough, use the knife to flatten it to improve adhesion of the tape.

Memories on tv 3.0.2 keygen manuales parche en espanol youtube. Spread a coat of drywall primer along the crack if the wall is painted with gloss paint. The primer improves adhesion of the drywall joint compound needed for the repair.
3
Cover the crack with self-adhesive fiberglass mesh drywall tape. It makes a sturdier repair than paper tape and has a better chance of preventing the crack from reappearing.
4
Spread a coat of all-purpose drywall joint compound over the tape with a 4-inch drywall knife and scrape it flat. Because of the nature of the tape, you may not get a completely flat joint on the first scrape, but don't worry. You'll be able to flatten it with subsequent coats.
5
Let the mud dry overnight, then spread a second coat and scrape it with an 8-inch knife. Let that coat dry and apply a third coat in the same way, using a 10-inch knife. By now, the repair should be flat, but if not, apply another coat.

Texture the repair after the final finish coat dries, using the same technique used to apply the existing texture. There are a few common ones. For example, use a roller to spread dilute joint compound to copy an eggshell texture, and spray dilute joint compound from a hand sprayer to produce a popcorn pattern. Spray dilute mud in blotches and flatten the blotches by scraping them lightly with a drywall knife to produce knockdown, one of the most common textures.
